TU-K Ranked Among Top 10 Kenyan Universities

In total, 68 universities were assessed. The University of Nairobi retained its position as Kenya's top-ranked university, followed by Strathmore University in second place and Kenyatta University in third. Mount Kenya University ranked fourth, while Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) completed the top five. Moi University, and Egerton University also featured prominently among the country's leading institutions, reflecting the competitiveness of Kenya's higher education sector.

The annual rankings evaluate universities recognised by Kenya's higher education authorities and offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes through traditional classroom-based learning.

The 2026 UniRank report awarded TU-K a \"Recognized\" and \"Verified\" status, with a performance score of 52.25, placing the University at position 4,020th globally.

The ranking is based on a rigorous AI-driven, 360-degree evaluation methodology that places significant emphasis on student well-being, graduate employability, institutional credibility, digital presence and real-world readiness, rather than relying solely on conventional academic metrics.
