TU-K Performs Well in the 2024/2025 Performance Contract Evaluation

The evaluation exercise was officially opened by the Chairman of the University Council, Dr.Idle Farah.

The evaluation was carried out by officials from the Public Service Performance Management Unit Mrs. Lydia Nguta, Mr. Kibet Sirkoi and Mr. Richard Mukiri who represented the Government.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Benedict Mutua, praised the staff for their commitment and teamwork throughout the contract period. He encouraged the staff to continue putting in more effort so that the University can achieve even better results.

Also present during the evaluation were University Council Member Mr. Joseph ole Nkamasiai, Deputy vice chancellors Prof. Paul Wambua, Prof. Alfred Orina and Prof. Maurice Amutabi and other senior members of staff

TU-K achieved high scores in most of the performance indicators. The University was evaluated in the following key areas: Financial stewardship, service delivery, core functions mandate (teaching, research and innovation, productivity, and community service), implementation of Government directives, affirmative action in procurement,  cross-cutting issues such as asset management, youth internships/ attachments/ apprenticeships, and promotion of national values and principles of good governance.
