Staff, Students Plant 1,000 Tree Seedlings at Langata Barracks

The exercise was led by the Acting Director, Entrepreneurial University and Resource Mobilisation, Prof. Mugera Gitari, Director, Strategy and Performance Management Dr. Agnes Gachau, Environmental Officer at the Barracks, Lieutenant M.K. Kutoh, Head of Environment at the Langata Barracks Secondary School, Roseline Makokha and TU-K Environment Club President, Rosemary Njeri.

Prof. Gitari said the exercise was part of national call and duty to serve community.

Lt. Kutoh together with the Mrs. Makokha, expressed their excitement indicating that they would invite the University again to conduct another tree growing exercise within the Barracks.

Staff from TU-K University took advantage of the event to conduct a career guidance session targeting Form Three and Four students.

Dr. Ali Adani, Senior Assistant Registrar, Student Support Services, and Moses Mulati, Administrative Officer, Student Admissions, led the session and urged the students to select TU-K when time for selection of universities comes.

Dr. Adani told the students that TU-K was among the top universities in Kenya offering best hands-on programmes.
