The VC assured students, staff and all the stakeholders that the University had put in place effective measures to ensure smooth transition in the delayed academic calendar. βThe University Senate reaffirms its commitment to ensuring a smooth structured, and secure transition as students resume their academic activities, diploma and undergraduate examinations, originally scheduled for 3rd to 15th February 2025, will now commence on 31st March 31, 2025β wrote Prof. Mutua.
The Senate also approved the revised academic calendar that would see Semester II start 14th April to end on 19th July. Continuous assessment tests are set for week six and week 12 while the main examinations are scheduled to be conducted between 7th and 19th July 2025. Semester III will be utilized for marking of the examinations, external examinations, administration of supplementary examinations as well orientation of the first-year students.
Final-year students who were expected to undertake their Industry-Based Learning (IBL) will now be allowed to undertake their training in Semester III while IBL for continuing students will be rescheduled.
